The Vector's rate of fire is the highest of all SMGs, firing at 1111 RPM. In either game types, Stopping Power will be hard to pass on.
The Vector's damage profile improves immensely in Core game types, and in Hardcore as well, as the Vector needs Stopping Power to get any one hit kills to the body. Headshots will only reduce the number of shots needed to kill at ranges where the Vector is not getting a three hit kill. The Vector's three hit kill range ends at roughly 21 meters, and the Vector's one shot kill in Hardcore ends at roughly 24 meters. At any range past 25 meters, the Vector will deal 28 damage per bullet, needing four shots to kill. Damage decreases linearly until 25 meters. At any range short of 19 meters, the Vector will deal 35 damage per bullet, needing three hits to kill. The Vector's damage profile improves when using Stopping Power. The Vector also has low penetration power, meaning that the Vector loses a great portion of its already small damage when shooting through all but the lightest of obstacles. Headshots will reduce the number of hits needed to kill by one in most circumstances. The Vector is incapable of getting a one hit kill in Hardcore game types without a headshot. The Vector is a four hit kill to the body out to 20 meters. At any range past 25 meters, the Vector will deal twenty damage per bullet, needing five hits to kill. At any range short of 19 meters, the Vector will deal 25 damage per bullet, needing four shots to kill.
The Vector has the lowest damage per bullet of any weapon in Multiplayer. In " Just Like Old Times", it is Soap's secondary with ACOG Scope and Silencer. It can be seen with multiple attachments and camouflages throughout the campaign. The Vector, referred to as KRISS Super V within game files, is often found in use by enemies, most notably by the forces of the Ultranationalists, more specifically, the Spetsnaz, the Arctic Forces, and Shadow Company.
